Mountain Moving Prayer- Pt 4

Praying the “command of faith,” speaking through God to a circumstance or situation, has as its foundation the authority of Jesus. Before Peter instructed the crippled beggar to walk, he said, “In the name of Jesus of Nazareth” (Acts 3:6).

I’m amazed at all the things my little phone can do. The problem is, I don’t take advantage of its capability because I don’t know how and won’t take the time to learn. Such is the case with most born again believers. Because of Christ living in us, we have so much power, position, and potential at our disposal, yet don’t tap into it.

We focus heavily on the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. And so we should, for therein lies the basis of our own salvation and resurrection. Yet, often, the ascension gets overlooked. According to the Bible, “God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6). Add to that the wonderful truth that “our citizenship is in heaven” (Philippians 3:20).

Physically and literally speaking, I live on planet earth as a citizen of the USA. Spiritually and positionally speaking, I’m in heaven and a citizen there. According to Watchman  Nee in The Prayer Ministry of the Church, “As Christ is now in heaven far above all, so the church today too is far above all. As the Lord is far above all spiritual foes, so is the church far above all spiritual foes. As all spiritual foes are surpassed by the Lord at His ascension, so too are these spiritual foes surpassed by the church which has ascended with the Lord. Accordingly, all spiritual foes are put in subjection under the feet of the church.”

Satan trembles at this fact and will do anything he can to pull you down from that platform of power and privilege. As Nee continues, “For the heavenly position is the position of victory. As long as we stand in that position, we are victorious. But if by Satan we are dragged down from heaven, we are defeated.”

Satan is a created being, a fallen angel. Unlike God, he is not omnipresent and can’t be everywhere at once. That being the case, if you find yourself struggling with feelings of undo suspicion, fear, or paranoia, there’s a strong possibility he’s getting help from his henchmen.  Tell them, in Jesus’ name, to flee. Positionally, you speak from heaven. You’re a child of the King, covered by His blood. These evil spirits have no right to hover in your orbit, messing with your mind.

Let me emphasize again this command of faith (aka authoritative prayer) channels through Jesus Christ, according to His will. Nee says, “Authoritative prayer is not asking God to do something but using God’s authority to deal directly with problems, to get rid of all that needs to be gotten rid of.” Unsearchable things await those willing to tap into and implement these truths.
